Every winner at ATHLOS London will receive an authenticated crown digitally linked to her athlete story, race and victory
LONDON, 16 September 2026 — ATHLOS, the professional women's track and field competition founded by Alexis Ohanian, has partnered with authentication technology company Veritas to create a digital record for each of its Tiffany & Co. championship crowns.
The partnership will debut at ATHLOS London on Friday 18 September, the first ATHLOS event to be staged outside the United States.
Each crown will carry Veritas technology that can be accessed using a smartphone. The digital experience will authenticate the crown and allow users to discover more about its craftsmanship, ATHLOS, the athlete and race associated with it.
First created for ATHLOS in 2024, the Tiffany & Co sterling silver crowns are awarded to the competition's winners and have become one of its most recognisable symbols. Unlike a conventional trophy, each crown is awarded on the night to the winning athlete during the event's celebrations.
By linking each crown to a digital experience, ATHLOS and Veritas will create a permanent record of the athlete's victory and the story behind the physical piece.
The winners at ATHLOS London will be the first athletes to receive crowns featuring the Veritas technology, connecting each physical crown to its individual championship story.
